Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's love story is not clean or quiet. It is raw, loud, and real. Through drugs, scandals, fights, and fame, they kept holding on. They didn’t just survive the madness of rock stardom. They lived in it, together. For over 40 years, the Osbournes showed the world what it means to love hard, fight harder, and never give up.
It all began back in 1970. Sharon was just 18 when she met Ozzy. Her father, Don Arden, managed Black Sabbath. Ozzy was married back then, and things between them were strictly business. That didn’t last.

Sharon / IG / In 1979, Ozzy was fired from the band because of his drug use. Sharon stepped in as his new manager and helped him build a solo career from scratch.
Along the way, their bond grew. Even though Ozzy was still married to Thelma Riley, his first wife, the spark between him and Sharon was real.
In 1982, they got married in Hawaii. Ozzy picked July 4 for the wedding so he would never forget their anniversary. Soon after, they had three kids: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. Ozzy also had three children from his first marriage, so their home was full and always loud.
The lovebirds gave the world a front-row seat to their lives when MTV launched “The Osbournes” in 2002. The show was a hit. Viewers watched the yelling, the swearing, the dogs, and the endless madness. Sharon kept the family moving. Ozzy wandered around in a daze. Kelly and Jack fought like real teens. It was a mess, and people loved it. Aimee didn’t want the spotlight and stayed off the show.
Trouble Behind the Scenes
Behind the laughs, the Osbourne home had real pain. In 1989, during a blackout caused by drugs, Ozzy tried to strangle Sharon. She hit the panic button to call the police. He was arrested, but she later dropped the charges. She said the addiction took over and that it wasn’t really him. It was one of their lowest points.
In 2016, things got rocky again. Ozzy had an affair with his hairstylist. Sharon left him. The betrayal crushed her. She later said she tried to overdose. But she lived, and Ozzy begged for forgiveness. In 2017, they renewed their vows in Las Vegas. Ozzy called it their “real wedding day.” Somehow, they found their way back again.

Sharon / IG / Ozzy always said he couldn’t live without Sharon. Sharon called their love “wild, insane, and dangerous,” but also “undying.”
It wasn’t a perfect marriage, but it was real. They fought hard, but they never gave up on each other.
They stayed strong even when it seemed impossible. Their love was weird, messy, and loud. But it worked, and it lasted.
In 2020, Ozzy told the world he had Parkinson’s disease. Around the same time, Sharon was battling colon cancer. It was one more test for the Osbournes. Sharon became Ozzy’s full-time caregiver while she fought her own battle. Still, they kept pushing through.
In 2025, Ozzy played his final show. Sharon made it happen. The concert took place in Birmingham, his hometown, and brought Black Sabbath back for one last night. It raised £150 million for charity. It was a proper goodbye. A few days later, Ozzy passed away. Sharon was by his side.
