How Men Can Live Longer and Healthier Lives

  • May 5, 2025

Men of all ages experience various health issues and have different health outcomes compared to women. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was noted that men were at a higher risk of dying of the disease, and the symptoms also turned out to be more severe for men than for women!

Life Expectancy

Around the globe, men are expected to live four years less than women. Not a single country in the world has a higher life expectancy for men than women. The harsh reality about it is that men choose to prioritize everything over their health and body; family commitments, work deadlines, etc. can cause men to give their health a much lower priority.

Cause of Death

Researchers and scientists claim that the most common global reason for death for men is heart disease. Some of the top 10 causes of these deaths also happen to be non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes and stroke.

This is why the men of today need to be motivated to follow a healthy lifestyle and make changes from a young age! Doing this is what’s going to help avoid these chronic diseases as well as increase the longevity of their lives.

Life Changes

What is meant by self-care? Men can make minor changes to their daily routine to achieve long-term improvements in their health. Here’s what can be done for a healthy routine:

- Bring a Change in Your Physical Activity

To stay healthy, it is important to move around rather than sit idle. Take a lot of breaks to walk around, stand up while you’re on the phone, set a daily goal of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercises, and indulge yourself in some physical activity instead of watching tv, etc.

- Eating Healthy

A plant-based diet is known to have worked best for most people who are looking for a healthier lifestyle. A plant-based diet consists of vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, nuts, legumes, and seeds, all of which are health benefits for men of all ages. A healthy, nutritious diet helps schoolboys learn more and be more well-behaved at school.

So, it’s time you started taking care of yourself!
